The Organization for the Management and Development of Cultural Resources (H.O.C.RE.D.), in the framework of the 39th Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition and in collaboration with TIF – HELEXPO, is organizing a major conference titled “Experience. Culture. Everywhere. – Connecting the Dots.” The conference will delve deeply into the interconnected relationship between tourism and culture.
The event will highlight the numerous benefits of this synergy, the challenges faced by the two sectors, and the opportunities arising for the development of sustainable destinations that respect and leverage cultural heritage. The program will begin with registration at 10:00 a.m. and will feature welcome addresses by distinguished speakers, thematic sessions, and panel discussions.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear presentations by government representatives, academics, archaeologists, cultural sector experts, and leading tourism professionals. Discussions will focus on the role of culture in local development, emerging trends in cultural tourism, prospects for international outreach, and the challenges posed by the digital age for intellectual property rights.
H.O.C.RE.D., remaining true to its philosophy of strengthening cultural heritage and enhancing Greece’s tourism offering, aims to foster a meaningful dialogue that promotes synergies and innovation.
The conference is part of a broader series of events organized by H.O.C.RE.D., which includes interactive workshops, screenings, and thematic tours at the stands of the various regions. These events are designed to offer visitors a holistic experience of cultural and tourism exploration.
This initiative is being implemented as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0,” with funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
