This year's Philoxenia focuses on Greek Culture!
The Hellenic Organization of Cultural Resources Development (H.O.C.RE.D.), places at the forefront the convergence of two worlds, Culture and Tourism. With a mission to promote and highlight the unique footprint of Greek culture, as the responsible entity for the operation of archaeological sites, monuments, and museums, it brings culture to the forefront as a hub of sustainable development.
In collaboration with HELEXPO, the relevant services of the Ministry of Tourism, and Local Government, H.O.C.RE.D. is proceeding within the framework of the Philoxenia exhibition with a strategic program targeting suitable tour operators and buyers from international markets. At the same time, it organizes a conference that will focus on the interconnected relationship between Tourism and Culture, the benefits that arise from this relationship, as well as the challenges that both sectors are called to face.
The program is funded by the Project titled “Development & Implementation of Digital Interactive Services and Content to enhance visitor experience at Archaeological Sites, Museums, Monuments, and Historical Sites using Innovative Technologies and Open Systems,” which is part of the Recovery and Resilience Fund (Sub-project: “Exhibition for Cultural Tourism Philoxenia (November 2024)”) and is implemented the Hellenic Organization of Cultural Resources Development.
